Deva or Rëzo Cut?

Born Curly is very excited to announce they now offer clients both Deva and Rëzo Cuts. Both these curly cut techniques will give your curls a beautiful shape that is sure to please. Determining which technique is right for you really depends on the look you would like to achieve. A consultation with our very talented Kim Gabriel will help determine which technique will be the best for your curls?

Deva Cut

The DevaCut, created by the Devachan Salon, is a special technique for cutting curly, wavy or coily hair. The cut is created on dry hair which allows the stylist to see how each individual curl is shaped and how each curl will fall. The DevaCut focuses on framing your face.

If you straighten a DevaCut, your hair may appear to be uneven.

Rëzo Cut

The Rëzo Cut, created by Master Stylist and Curl Expert Nubia Suarez is a cutting technique which allows stylists to also cut dry, adding volume, balance and shape. The Rezo Cut maintains an even length all the way around your head. It liberates the curls from the root area so they can move about freely.

If you straighten a Rezo Cut, it will look even in both a curly and straightened state. The Rezo Cut is also perfect for curlies who love their length, as it creates shape while maintaining both length and volume.

Born Curly is excited to work with all curly hair types. Whether your hair is curly, wavy or coily, Born Curly’s vision for all clients is to love and accept themselves for who they are, and that includes beautiful curly hair!
